Ashley’s Beginnings
Ashley began in the food business as a young teenager working in her now husband’s family ice cream store. There, she learned the importance of exceptional customer service and quality products, all while learning to work hard and get her hands dirty. She went to college to study early childhood education, focusing on special needs, and when the company began selling baked goods she was tasked with growing the nutritional product line with a focus on servicing schools and healthcare facilities. As the business grew, it was time for her to take over and start a new chapter of her Journey. We now have a full line of high quality nutritionally delicious products, as well as decadent cookies and brownies. From there she decided to start down a new path, one to honor her Italian heritage.
Italian Roots
As an only child raised by her mother, Ashley learned early what “it takes a tribe” truly means. With her mother spending so much of her time working in order to support her education and well being, she spent many days with her grandmother, Claire Rofino. This is where her passion for great Italian food began.
Claire and Frank Rofino were both children of Italian immigrants living not far from each other in an Italian community in Franklin, Massachusetts. Neighbors at a young age, their love bloomed early and was culminated with 5 wonderful daughters. Claire spent her time raising her children, and much of their culture revolved around the dinner table. This passion continued throughout her life, and was passed along to her 6 grand children, frequently getting them involved in the kitchen. A very close-knit family, the Rofino’s believe that family is everything, and nothing brings family together like a great meal. Ashley’s Italian Specialty Products were developed to honor her grandmother’s legacy and continue her family’s traditions.

Our mission is to provide quality Italian specialty products that cater to our customers needs, all while servicing them efficiently and effectively. Our manufacturing partners use only the finest ingredients and manufacture using top of the line industry practices, all while ensuring product safety. Many of our products have been developed specifically for our customers, and our motto has always been “what do you need?” not “here’s what we offer”.
